Despite its
compact dimensions, the P668M packs 15 Watts RMS output which
will power most vehicle speaker configurations. It can be used
from a 12 or 24 Volts DC supply, so it can be used in
commercial vehicles and water craft. A microphone can be
plugged straight into the front panel and an Aux input for
tape, radio etc is on the rear panel both inputs have
independent level controls. There are two separate speaker
switches allowing selective output, and there is a special
third output for intercom and fog/siren use. This allows the
P668M to be used not only as an amplifier and foghorn but also
to communicate with another part of the vehicle or vessel: the
amplifier itself has a built-in speaker to listen, while the
other party uses the remote speaker as a microphone. The Siren
and Fog output can be manually sounded, the Fog can also be
set to Auto for unattended output.
